QPS-SAR-10 WADATSUMI-I’s First Light Image

Fukuoka, JAPAN – June 9th, 2025 – Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS) released its First Light image from QPS-SAR-10, named “WADATSUMI-I” which was launched on May 17th, 2025 by Rocket Lab’s Electron “The Sea God Sees” Mission into Mid-Inclined orbit.

<CEO Shunsuke Onishi comment>

“We are truly delighted and encouraged by the successful acquisition of the first image from QPS-SAR-10, ‘WADATSUMI-I.’ With each mission—from first contact after orbit insertion, to antenna deployment, and now this first light—we are witnessing steady improvements in both satellite performance and operational precision. These advancements are the result of the experience and knowledge we’ve continuously built up since our very first satellite. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our engineering team and the unwavering support of our partners and stakeholders. With the launch of our 11th satellite scheduled for June 12, we remain committed to advancing toward the realization of our satellite constellation.”
