QPS-SAR-11 “YAMATSUMI-I” was launched and made the first communication successfully

Fukuoka, JAPAN – June 12th, 2025 – Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS) released its satellite QPS-SAR-11, named “YAMATSUMI-I” was successfully launched by Rocket Lab Electron at 0:31 am JST today. We are also pleased to announce that “YAMATSUMI-I” was successfully deployed into its planned orbit 50 minutes later. The first communication with “YAMATSUMI-I” was established approximately 35 minutes after deployment, and we were able to confirm that all the satellite’s equipment was working properly and that the satellite was in good health. We will continue to make adjustments, deploying the antenna, and acquire the first images.
