Japanese space start-up iQPS Inc. which is aiming to establish a near real-time data provision service by 2025 with 36 of its innovative small SAR satellite, is pleased to announce that Mr. Makoto Max Higashi has joined our company as Vice President of Business Strategy.

Mr. Higashi has over 25 years of experience in the remote sensing and satellite data services market and he has led the expansion of satellite imagery sales as CEO & President of Japan Space Imaging Corporation until March 2019.

Mr. Higashi, an experienced professional in the satellite data business, will lead the business strategy/business development, and build the sales structure of iQPS to develop the satellite data business.

iQPS’s second small SAR satellite “IZANAMI” is scheduled to launch no earlier than January 2021 by SpaceX Falcon 9.

iQPS will continue to promote activities that contribute to the development of the world by expanding the possibilities of space, which is our corporate mission.
