QPS-SAR-7 TSUKUYOMI-II presents 46cm x 45cm resolution with its spotlight imaging mode

Fukuoka, JAPAN – May 23rd, 2024 – Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS) released its Spotlight mode (high-resolution mode) images from QPS-SAR-7, named “TSUKUYOMI-II”. As QPS-SAR-6 “AMATERU-III,” and QPS-SAR-5 “TSUKUYOMI-I” which has already begun commercial service, TSUKUYOMI-II also has capability to observe at 46cm azimuth and range resolution, the highest in Japan for a private satellite.

TSUKUYOMI-II was launched on April 8th, 2024, by SpaceX’s Falcon 9, with the Bandwagon-1 mission and on May 17th, 2024, TSUKUYOMI-II unveiled its first light. After a steady adjustment process, we are pleased to announce the release of Tsukuyomi-II’s images in spotlight mode. The next step is to start providing services, and we are working diligently to coordinate operations to achieve this goal.
