(Musashi-Kosugi Station Area, Kawasaki-shi, Japan)
Fukuoka, JAPAN – July 2nd, 2025 – Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS) released its First Light images from QPS-SAR-11, named “YAMATSUMI-I” which was launched on June 12th, 2025 JST by Rocket Lab’s Electron “The Mountain God Guards” Mission into Mid-Inclined orbit.
<CEO Shunsuke Onishi comment>
“I am truly delighted to announce that the initial operations of QPS-SAR-11″YAMATSUMI-I” have proceeded very smoothly, allowing us to successfully achieve its first light. Since the launch of QPS-SAR-9 “SUSANOO-I” in March this year, we have accomplished the remarkable feat of launching three QPS-SARs in just four months while simultaneously conducting their initial operations – a significant challenge for our team. I am immensely proud of our initial operations engineering team, who have steadily overcome each hurdle and consistently delivered results. Operating multiple satellites concurrently is a critical step toward realizing QPS-SAR constellation we aim to build. Through this experience, we have gained valuable insights that will firmly guide us forward. Moving ahead, we will continue to advance step by step as a united team. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.”
